This painting was commissioned in 2005 as a gift. The receiver's favorite colors are those found in the blue iris.

Scarlet was a lovely, sweet natured and extremely well behaved West Highland White Terrier. She was painted from a tiny photograph, just about 1.5 inches to a side!
